South Indian potatoes with Mustard Seeds

Serves 4

1 lb. potatoes peeled and cubed
1 medium onion sliced thin
1 teaspoon channa dal
1 teaspoon white urad dal
1 teaspoon mustard seed
few curry leaves
1/4 minced green chili (optional)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
2 tablespoon oil
salt to taste
Heat oil. Add mustard seed, dal, onions and curry leaves, chili and fry.
Fry for about 5 minutes on medium heat or/until onions are transclucent
Add potatoes and salt and turmeric.  Steam till potatoes are done.
